Gary Walker, Vice President

Mr. Walker has worked for Marine Chemist Service, Inc. for 33 years. He has many years’ experience in conducting asbestos/lead/mold/indoor air quality
Surveys and sampling. Also, he has been instrumental in designing removal specifications for various military & civilian organizations.

Rick Marstellar, CMC

Mr. Marstellar is a graduate of Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock’s Apprentice School who later joined Marine Chemist Service in 1998.  He is a past Board member of the Marine Chemist Association’s (MCA) Executive Committee.  Mr. Marstellar has been teaching safety classes since obtaining his Marine Chemist certification at the turn of this century.

Max Chou, CMC

Mr. Chou joined Marine Chemist Service in the winter of 2014. He is also the newest Marine Chemist to receive NFPA certification (2017). Mr. Chou is currently the principal in-person and online instructor for (Shipyard) Competent Person training.

Patrick Studley, CIH, CSP

Mr. Studley began working at Marine Chemist Service in 2006 as an industrial hygiene technician. For the next decade, he rose through the ranks to become the lead inspector by holding multiple asbestos, lead, mold, and radon certifications.

Very thorough in the Information

Rick and Max gave a great class. Very thorough in the information and emphasis on the importance of various regulations. They covered OSHA, NFPA, Navy, etc. regulations and provided great material to reference. I think the class could have been better in person but considering a pandemic, these guys did a great job getting the information across to the class.
